Highlights-Barcelona, cruise embarkation

I walked 4.5 km to the ship from the apartment in El Raval (just a stretch of the legs). I checked in by noon and my room was ready (cleanup from just finished cruise) at 1pm. I spent the afternoon touring the ship before having coffee with a friend off-ship. There are four restaurants (a buffet and three with table service) and three places where you can get light bites onboard the Mars. Tonight, after saying goodbye to my friend in town and taking the shuttle to the ship, I ate in Manfredi’s, an Italian restaurant. This is one of the two that require reservations. The onboard movies on TV included The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I watched through the time warp scene (“It’s just a jump to the left …”).
