Highlights-London (last day)
I took a double decker bus to and from the Imperial War Museum. On the return trip, I was able to sit all the way in front on the top. I was at the museum longer than my typical visit, 1-5pm, because the exhibits were so interesting (Tank Museum had a better section of the invention of the tank, who’d a thunk it?). I was lucky to hear a “life on a Lancaster bomber” talk given by a volunteer. “Surviving on a deathtrap” was more like it. Crew survivability wasn’t a design criterion for the Brits in those days.
