Highlights-Valencia Day 5 (last day)
I visited La Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (the City of Arts and Sciences), reached by metro and trolley from the apartment. It was a long walk from the Metro station to the Trolley (I expected to see mirages in the distance). Because it was my last night in Valencia, I thought I should partake of some paella. It is the quintessential Valencian dish. I walked all over without finding a restaurant that served individual portions. I settled for an empanada.

The focus of the science museum was applied science: space travel, rockets, Mars, and the Moon. Normally, my interests lean more toward pure science. My favorite part was a small section on memory. How it works — and sometimes doesn’t. Eyewitness accounts aren’t what they’re cracked up to be.
